Before the Moyie River Ranch Resort became what it is today, it existed as a vision in the minds of owners Dale Parkin and Jean Bedard. The unrecognized and undervalued resort potential of the Moyie River area in southern British Columbia was discovered by the owners during a trip to the area in 2003 and the dream was born.
Dale and Jean are both avid campers who, like many campers, experienced a great deal of frustration with the size and availability of seasonal RV and cabin lots. They wanted something special. What they envisioned were lots that were not only affordable but large enough to build a cabin or park an RV on with room play without encroaching on their neighbours.
A plan was conceived and in 2004, work began on realizing that dream. Phase I was kicked off in January of that year with a total of five phases planned. The resort encompasses 118 acres of prime river front lots and treed properties. Facilities include a store, washrooms and laundry, playgrounds, off road trails and river playgrounds. More than 300 large-sized lots are planned future facilities and services include a childrens paddle pool, playgrounds as well as year round security.
Location, Location, Location
Besides the lavish riverside atmosphere there is direct access to the crown forest
and trail system without any need to
return to the highway. The resort is located only minutes from Creston and Yahk, B.C. and the Kingsgate border crossing which is only six kilometres away for easy access to the U.S.
From Calgary, the Moyie River Ranch Resort is a 4.5 hour drive.
Flexible Future
The land is currently "unzoned" by the county. This allows for the consideration
of constructing a building as regulated
by the county. Set backs from the water and elevation restrictions are to be followed. Services are available at your lot line for RV use including water, power and sewer. Natural gas service is being considered as it is presently on the property.
